Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a registered nurse at our Detroit facility. The role involves leading coordinated, compassionate patient care and applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients and families.

We value strong communication with patients and hospital staff, and expect active participation in problem solving when patient goals deviate from expected outcomes. This full‑time position includes day shifts and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to plan nursing care.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

• Position: 36 hours per week
• Shift: Days 12 Hour Shifts
• Every other weekend and Holiday Rotations

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
