Job Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of patients based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic analysis.
  • Provide age-specific nursing interventions aligned with the care plan and standards of practice.
  • Foster an environment demonstrating caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
  • Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
  • Apply standard work related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
  • Contribute to departmental performance through precepting and mentoring new employees.
  • Support department growth and hospital initiatives by promoting evidence-based practices.
  • Engage in professional development by setting goals and participating in educational opportunities.
  • Assist in other units as needed by floating.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Advanced resuscitative certification if serving as a charge nurse.
