Unit Description: The Wound Care Nursing Team Lead will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities related to the Wound Care Nursing Team. The Team Leader provides clinical coordination of care concerning skin integrity and wound care across CVMC, WDR, and the community. The role involves providing professional nursing care to patients from newborn to end-of-life, through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of their health needs and goals. The Team Leader delivers direct care to patients and families, and also educates and prepares them for ongoing care. As an experienced nurse, the Team Leader acts as a clinical expert and resource for WDR residents, ED, ACU, CVMC inpatients, medical staff, and the organization at large. The role demonstrates clinical leadership through mentoring, staff education, and exemplifying excellent clinical and customer service. The primary clinical duties are at Woodridge Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, with oversight of the nursing wound care team at both Central Vermont Hospital and Woodridge.
Qualifications include a BSN and CWCN Certification (or within one year of hire). On-call duties are not required. Incentives offered include CTO, Pet Insurance, Lyra, Headspace, 403b, among others.
