Position Summary
Provides direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process. Meets the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural needs of patients and families. Communicates effectively with the healthcare team about patient condition or response to treatment.
Reports to: Director of Radiology
Responsibilities of the Position
The role involves utilizing evidence-based practice to treat wounds such as diabetic, surgical, arterial, venous insufficiency, radiation damage, non-healing grafts, osteomyelitis, and crush injuries. Opportunities include working with specialty dressings, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, bio-engineered tissue, and advanced modalities.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Completed Associate's Degree or accredited nursing certification program.
Certifications/Licenses: Current North Carolina or compact RN license, BLS through AHA, Wound Care certification preferred.
Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, experience in medical-surgical, home health, or wound care preferred. Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be open to teaching and learning.
