Position Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. Meets the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural needs of patients and families. Communicates effectively with the healthcare team about patient status.
Reports to: Director of Radiology
Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status for 24-hour care.
- Perform patient care considering age-specific needs.
- Administer medications correctly based on patient age and condition.
- Develop and revise care and educational plans.
- Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical services.
- Ensure patient safety and proper documentation.
- Coordinate and supervise care, treat patients with respect and dignity.
- Communicate changes to physicians promptly.
- Operate equipment safely.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes.
- Use resources cost-effectively.
- Treat various wounds with advanced modalities.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or accredited nursing certification.
- North Carolina or compact RN license.
- BLS certification.
- Wound Care certification preferred.
- Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently.
- Experience in medical-surgical, home health, or wound care preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and teach.
