Job Description

The WOCN serves as a care consultant and provider for patients with complex wound care needs and ostomy management. Responsibilities include collaborating with the healthcare team to define and communicate care plans, providing leadership in education and research to improve patient outcomes through evidence-based practices, and serving as a resource and role model in wound and ostomy care. The role also involves liaising with community and healthcare professionals across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing school with a Degree in Nursing
• At least one year of nursing practice experience
• Current RN licensure in Massachusetts
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse (WOCN) or within 18 months of hire
