Job description

Join to apply for the Registered Nurse, Womens Services role at Capital Markets Placement.

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Reports to: Unit Director.

FLSA: Non-exempt.

Education: Associates Degree in Nursing Required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred.

License: Current RN license to practice in the state of (TX).

Certifications: BCLS within 30 days of hire/transfer; ACLS within 1 year of hire/transfer.

Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Essential Functions: Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the patient's physical and emotional well-being.

Performs other duties as assigned and participates in process improvement initiatives. Assists with orienting new employees and students.
