Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health in Independence, MO is seeking a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse to support campus health across a large residential program. The role requires nursing, medication administration, vital signs assessment, and crisis response, with weekend shifts paid at $45.00 per hour.

You will document care, coordinate with families and care teams, and ensure compliance with medical standards on a busy campus.

Qualifications

  • Active Missouri RN license
  • CPR certification
  • CAQH profile and NPI onboarding

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a consistent clinical presence by assessing and responding to student health needs across a large, open campus with multiple residential homes
  • Monitor vitals, administer medications, and track health status and progress
  • Communicate with families and the care team by sharing updates and contributing to care decisions
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance by documenting medications, including controlled substances, each shift
  • Provide additional coverage to support floor staff to maintain safe and consistent operations
  • Respond to behavioral and medical situations using de-escalation and intervention training
  • Observe, document, and report changes in mood, behavior, and overall health

Overview

Full-Time, Onsite

Location:3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058Hourly Weekend Pay Rate: $45.00

Choose Your Schedule:

  • Serve as a consistent clinical presence by assessing and responding to student health needs across a large, open campus with multiple residential homes
  • Monitor vitals, administer medications, and track health status and progress
  • Communicate with families and the care team by sharing updates and contributing to care decisions
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance by documenting medications, including controlled substances, each shift
  • Provide additional coverage, as needed, to support floor staff to maintain safe and consistent operations
  • Respond to behavioral and medical situations using de-escalation and intervention training
  • Observe, document, and report changes in mood, behavior, and overall health
Qualifications

Required Certifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • CPR Certification
  • Must be prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of the onboarding process.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in medication administration and patient care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and documentation standards
  • Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking across a large campus, and responding safely and effectively during crisis situations.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bedside hospital experience
  • Experience in diabetic care
  • Experience in Psychiatric Nursing
