Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our 24-bed neuroscience unit, delivering high-quality care for patients with acute neurological and spine disorders. You will work within a collaborative, patient-first environment on an on-site Illinois campus.

Ideal candidates hold an Illinois RN license, BLS, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Preference given to Neuro experience and ER/PED RN certifications.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate
• Strong analytic abilities
• Preferred Neuro experience and ER/PED RN certifications may be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on a 24-bed neuroscience unit for acute neurological and spine disorders
• Manage patients with conditions including TBI, stroke, aneurysm repairs, CS leaks, and post-op neurosurgical/spinal care
• Maintain high patient satisfaction and adhere to safety and clinical standards
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication with multidisciplinary staff

• Salary Range Minimum : $37.00
• Salary Range Maximum: $59.20
• Compensation: USD 37 - USD 59.2 - hourly

Job Description

Internal employees and rehires who left Northwestern Medicine within 1 year are not eligible for the sign on bonus

• 24 bed neurosciences unit providing care to patients requiring medical and surgical treatment of acute neurological and spine disorders
• Neurological conditions include acute and stable traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, spinal injury, seizure, and acute inflammation or infections of the CNS. Neurosurgical patients include aneurysm repair, CS leaks & lumbar drains, post-op neurosurgical and spinal patients

Preferred:

• Experience in Neuro
• Additional preferences for the Emergency Room and the Pediatric Emergency Room:

  • Certified Pediatric Nurse
  • Certified Emergency Nurse
