Registered Nurse - Virtual Nursing Care (On-Site) - Part Time - Days

Virtual RNs serve as members of the healthcare team by collaborating, communicating, and facilitating care with clinicians, patients, and families. They maintain patient anonymity and safety using various technological platforms, providing indirect patient care, consulting with clinical team members, and adjusting nursing care processes as needed to ensure safe patient care through virtual platforms (e.g., cameras, desktops, mobile devices, tablets, smartphones). This role involves working remotely alongside bedside nurses to provide real-time clinical decision support for patient care units. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years RN experience in an acute care hospital.

Structure Of The Virtual RN

• This position is 100% on-site at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital
• 12-hour shifts / 24 hours per week
• Every other weekend / Holiday rotation

Primary Function Of The Virtual RN

• Admission Documentation
• Hourly Safety Checks
• Patient Education
• Discharge Preparation

Education/Experience Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
• Completion of a BSN within 5 years of hire
• Minimum of three (3) years RN experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Clinical knowledge and analytical skills to develop effective nursing care plans
• Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital staff

Certifications/Licensures Required

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing

Preferred Education/Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
