Virtual RN Position at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital

Virtual RNs serve as integral members of the healthcare team by collaborating, communicating, and facilitating care with clinicians, patients, and families. They maintain patient anonymity and safety through various technological platforms, providing indirect patient care, consulting with clinical team members, and adjusting nursing care processes as needed to ensure safe patient care via virtual platforms (e.g., cameras, desktops, mobile devices, tablets, smartphones). This role involves remote work alongside bedside nurses, offering real-time clinical decision support for patient care units. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years RN experience in an acute care hospital.

Structure of the Virtual RN:

• This position is 100% on-site at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital
• 12-hour shifts / 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend / Holiday rotation

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school
• Enrollment in a BSN program within 3 years of hire
• Completion of a BSN within 5 years of hire
• Minimum of 3 years RN experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills for effective care planning
• Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital staff

Certifications and Licenses:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing

Preferred Education and Experience:
