One Vision International is seeking a registered nurse to provide nursing support for utilization management in a military healthcare setting in Hampton, VA. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a 12-month duration and extension options up to five years.

You will collaborate with healthcare personnel to support patient care, coordinate referrals, maintain documentation, and ensure patient safety while following DoD and DHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required and active.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Experience in utilization management or utilization review.
• Experience in care coordination, referral management, or clinical nursing.

Location: Hampton, VA 23665

Pay rate: $48/hr.

Duration: 12 months with extension options up to 5 years

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours weekly | Monday - Friday, 07:30 AM - 04:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support for utilization management activities within a military healthcare setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare personnel and other healthcare facilities to support appropriate patient care.
• Assist with coordinating referral appointments and healthcare services.
• Serve as a point of contact between healthcare staff and beneficiaries regarding plans of action and available healthcare benefits.
• Support patient and family education, as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to facilitate appropriate patient care and services.
• Follow applicable Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional standards, patient confidentiality, and patient safety.
• Complete required agency and facility-specific training and comply with applicable policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in utilization management or utilization review.
• Experience in care coordination, referral management, or clinical nursing.
