Job summary

Madison Medical Affiliates in Mequon, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Mequon Urology team. This full-time outpatient role offers a Monday-Friday schedule with travel to Milwaukee two days per week and no weekends or holidays.

You will provide safe, compassionate nursing care, assess patients, support providers, perform specialty procedures, document in the EHR, and help keep clinic workflows running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license and CPR certification.
• Experience in a surgical/outpatient setting preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient with computers and EHR systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Respect patient confidentiality and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to outpatients.
• Assess patients and plan care under supervision, including triage.
• Perform specialty procedures in an outpatient clinic.
• Perform tasks delegated by physicians and APPs.
• Supervise delegated nursing activities by LPNs and MAs.
• Document accurately in the EHR and maintain workflows.
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications and services.
• Stay current with nursing practices and EHR updates.

Madison Medical is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Mequon Urology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate, organized, and clinically skilled nurse who enjoys building relationships with patients and working closely with physicians and advanced practice clinicians in an outpatient setting. This position does travel 2 days a week to our Milwaukee clinic.

Your Schedule

What You'll Do

As an RN at Madison Medical, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our providers and clinical team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to our patients.
• Assess patients and determine appropriate plans of care under provider supervision, including telephone triage and assessment.
• Perform and assist with specialty-specific procedures in an outpatient clinical setting.
• Perform medical acts delegated by physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
• Supervise and direct delegated nursing activities performed by LPNs and MAs.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, physicians, coworkers, and visitors.
• Assist with physician scheduling and help ensure clinic workflows run smoothly.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Process medication refills safely and efficiently according to established protocols.
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications, radiology, and outpatient services when needed.
• Perform laboratory, clerical, and other clinical duties as requested by leadership and providers.
• Stay current with changes in nursing practice, technology, and EHR processes.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous experience in a surgical setting or outpatient clinic is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Comfortable working with computers, electronic health records, and data entry.
• Ability to adapt quickly and learn new processes and responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, peers, and physicians.
• Comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative team member.
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential patient and organizational information.
