Job summary

UPMC System Float Team is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with Medical-Surgical expertise to provide versatile care across Pennsylvania, New York, and Western Maryland.

These full-time, permanent positions offer guaranteed hours, competitive compensation, and travel incentives within a nationally recognized health system. RNs will rotate to different facilities about every six weeks, expanding clinical skills and professional connections.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (as required by state regulations).
• Medical‑surgical nursing experience preferred or required.
• Ability to rotate across facilities and adapt quickly to different teams and units.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in assigned UPMC facilities and units.
• Rotate assignments approximately every six weeks between facilities.
• Communicate patient status and changes clearly with physicians and healthcare team.
• Follow hospital policies, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
