Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Unity Imaging at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY. The RN will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, and coordinate treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds an ASN/ADN (BSN preferred) with NYS RN licensure and BLS. Prior acute care and IV skills are valued. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; IV skills and prior acute care experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care.
  • Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient and documents findings.
  • Communicates assessment with the interdisciplinary team and documents plan of care.
  • Develops and documents plan of care and coordinates treatment/services.
  • Follows safety, medication administration, and documentation policies.
  • Completes a CRU form for Nursing Research submission and renews documentation as needed.
  • Maintains BLS certification and completes required in-services and health screens.

SUMMARY

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you're the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. You make a positivedifference every single day in the lives of our patients, their family members and visitors - going above and beyond to meet their needs with courtesy, kindness, respect and compassion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e. physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological /developmental age of the patient). Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team. Utilizes all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family. Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services which is individualized and appropriate for the patient needs, strengths, limitations and goals. Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including policies governing safety, medication administration and documentation. Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriately. Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to Nursing Research Department utilizing a research article from the last 5 years from research performed in the United States. ComplianceCompletes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year. Completes mandatory in-services and health screens in timely manner. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing Registered Nurse license in New York State. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. IV skills and prior acute care experience strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20-50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

PAY RANGE

$35.35 - $47.13 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
