Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a 14-week assignment. This temporary position features 12-hour shifts (days and nights) with no benefits provided.

Candidates must have an RN with Associate, Diploma, or Bachelor in Nursing; TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS; VA RN license eligibility; and at least 2 years of recent ED bedside experience, with EPIC experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• AT LEAST 2 years of RECENT HOSPITAL EMERGENCY DEPT as a BEDSIDE RN REQUIRED.
• TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications are required.
• Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in VA.

Responsabilités

• The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process and standards of practice.
• Provide assessment, planning, implementation, coordination of care and patient education in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Duties/Responsibilities

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
