Baptist Health offers the Fall 2026 Transitional RN Residency for experienced RNs. The program commences on November 16, 2026 and targets nurses new to critical care within a hospital setting.
Most positions are expected to be night shifts. Candidates should have at least one year of RN experience and may need to obtain a BSN within three years, with a FL RN license and a current BLS card required.
The Fall 2026 Transitional RN Residency for experienced RNs is now accepting applications. If offered, the program will begin on November 16, 2026. This position is intended for experienced registered nurses seeking entry into a Critical Care Residency Training Program. Applicants must have a minimum of one year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting. Employees currently working in a step-down unit are not required to apply to the Critical Care Residency Program in order to transition to the ICU.
Program availability is subject to change and will only run based on organizational needs. Placement, interview, and location preferences are not guaranteed. Most available positions will be for the night shift.
The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service. This course is designed to provide nurses with theoretical knowledge needed to provide holistic family-centered care to patients and family members and is targeted toward registered nurses who are new to critical care nursing.
