Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking an experienced RN to join our ICU MSICU team, working nights in a full-time 36-hour schedule. You will monitor nursing staff, support clinical development, and contribute to high‑quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Eligible clinicians can advance salary through the Clinical Ladder program with increases up to 20%, based on experience, development, and advancement criteria. This role emphasizes teamwork, professional growth, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Associates of Nursing required.

About the Unit:

• ICU Medical (MSICU) has a diverse patient population. If you want variety, we’ve got it. There is a reason our NPC has coined the phrase “All Systems, All the Time”. We care for Renal Failure, Liver Failure, Respiratory Failure w/ ventilator management, Septic Shock w/MODS, Post Cardiac Arrest Code Cool, Post-Partem Hemorrhage, Bone Marrow Transplant, Hypovolemic Shock, Upper and Lower GI Bleed, DKA w/severe acidosis and more.

Schedule:

Full-time, 36 hours per week

Shift:

Nights (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor performance of nursing staff, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to ensure clinical and professional standards are met.
• Foster professional growth by identifying training needs, organizing educational programs, and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and career progression.
• Resolve conflicts among staff promptly and effectively using mediation techniques to maintain a positive work environment and ensure team cohesion.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Mentor and precept new staff by providing hands‑on training, feedback, and fostering professional development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Cert (ACLS) [Required]
