Job summary

Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Telemetry unit. This per diem/part-time role supports an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.

The RN will assess patients, develop and modify care plans, and work with the care team to achieve outcomes. Requires PA RN license, BSN preferred, and BLS certification; prior acute care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license by the Pennsylvania State Board or Compact State.
• Prior acute care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, evaluate, and modify care plans.
• Collaborate with Care Team to achieve patient outcomes identified in pathway/plan of care.
• Provide care as a professional caregiver using nursing process and established standards.
• Care for patients across age groups (Infant through Older Adults).
• Deliver patient care in Telemetry with interdisciplinary support.

Location: Nazareth Hospital - Philadelphia, PA

The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative environment at Nazareth Hospital to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. As a Registered Nurse, You Will

• Under limited supervision, the Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan. The RN interprets and performs complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.
• RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
• The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• The RN provides care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.
• Patients served include all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program approved; BSN preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or Compact State required.
• Prior relevant experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Certifications aligned with area of responsibility; Minimum of BLS required.
