Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• 1 year experience in cardiac telemetry or other cardiac care setting preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Skilled in EKG rhythm interpretation and other cardiac monitoring techniques
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythm and other vital signs, interpreting data to identify distress or abnormal patterns
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to the medical plan of care
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to evaluate and modify the plan of care as necessary, focusing on cardiac status
• Educate patients and families on heart health, treatment plans, and home care instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient condition, treatment, and progress in accordance with policies

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: COVID, Cardiac drips, Cardiac monitor, Cardioversion, Defibrillation, Device experience, EKG monitoring, High acuity patients, Post cardiac intervention, or Sheath pulls.
