Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital serving the medical and healthcare needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest Philadelphia communities for over a century, since 1890. The Staff RN reports directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The RN is responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults. The RN coordinates care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, guides the OR Technician and other personnel, and maintains professional standards. The RN collaborates with other departments to ensure continuum of care, efficient patient flow, and proper unit maintenance. Responsibilities include adherence to regulations, standards, hospital policies, participation in performance improvement activities, and acting as a resource for staff.
