Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst is seeking a Registered Nurse for a mixed unit across General Surgical, Oncology/Chemo, and Hospice. This full-time, nights position is 36 hours per week with 7pm–7am shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the clinical team. Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing, Illinois RN licensure, CPR certification, and may have chemotherapy/biotherapy certification.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years if Associate Degree is highest
• Current Illinois RN licensure
• Current CPR Certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification within four years of start date

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse - Mixed unit of General Surgical, Oncology/Chemo, and Hospice
• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital
• Full Time: 36hrs a week
• Hours: 7pm-7am with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays

What you will do:

The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse will collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will need:

Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, Skills and/or Experience:

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing,
  • If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
  • Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfathered OR
• RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification within four years of start date into position

Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing
• 1 year of inpatient nursing experience is highly preferred
