Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Registered Nurse to join a mixed unit across General Surgical, Oncology/Chemo, and Hospice at Elmhurst Main Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time night shift (7pm-7am) includes every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays.

You will provide compassionate nursing care and collaborate closely with the clinical team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Required education includes an Associate Degree or higher in Nursing with Illinois RN licensure; CPR certification and

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in nursing; must obtain BSN within five years if ADN held.
• Illinois RN license active at start date.
• Current CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification within four years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care and plan, implement, evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and clinical team to ensure outcomes.
• Provide care across General Surgical, Oncology/Chemo and Hospice populations.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse - Mixed unit of General Surgical, Oncology/Chemo, and Hospice
• Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital
• Full Time: 36hrs a week
• Hours: 7pm-7am with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays

What you will do:

The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse will collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will need:

Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, Skills and/or Experience:

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing,
  • If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
  • Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfatheredOR
• RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification within four years of start date into position

Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:

• Bachelor?s Degree or higher in Nursing
• 1 year of inpatient nursing experience is highly preferred
