Qualifications

  • Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing (RN).
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.
  • One or more years of RN experience required.
  • Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
  • Current AHA BLS health care provider card required.
  • ACLS certification required for all specified areas (ECC, Emergency Care Center, GI/Cath Lab, Labor & Delivery, Intermediate Care, PACU).
  • New graduates must obtain ACLS within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
  • Coordinates care across settings and among caregivers to assure continuity.
  • Educates patients and families about healthy practices and treatment options.
  • Demonstrates leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork in daily practice.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide and plan care (i.e. assessment, nurse diagnosis, planning and coordination, implementation, and evaluation). Additional roles include advocacy, performance improvement, leadership, problem solving, delegation, conflict resolution, and team player.QUALIFICATIONS• A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing is required• A Bachelors of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred• One (1) or more years’ experience as a Registered Nurse required• Specific area of specialty previous experience preferred• Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse required• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider card required• ACLS Certification required for all the following areas.
