Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is hiring a Recovery Room Registered Nurse (RN) to support the surgical services team in Corona, CA. You will receive patients from the Operating Room, monitor vital signs, intervene as prescribed, and assist with transportation to outpatient surgery and surgical floors.

Care spans the lifespan from infant to geriatric. The role requires an active California RN license and BLS; ACLS and CNOR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license and BLS required.
• ACLS and CNOR preferred; OR experience beneficial.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients from the Operating Room and other departments.
• Monitor vitals and intervene per physician orders within nursing scope.
• Assist with transport to outpatient surgery and surgical floors.
• Monitor IV sedation and local anesthesia cases in the OR.
• Provide age-appropriate care from infancy to geriatric.

Located at Corona Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Corona, CA

Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services the Recovery Room Registered Nurse receives patient from the Operating Room and other ancillary departments. Monitors vital signs making necessary interventions as prescribed, within scope of nursing, by surgeon or anesthesiologist. May also assist in transport of patients to outpatient Surgery and surgical floors. Assists with monitor of IV sedation and localcases in the Operating Room. Able to provide competent care for patients throughout the life span, from infancy through geriatric.

Position Description:

Reports to the Director of Surgical Services and/or OR Manager and Charge Nurse, responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of surgical Overall responsibility is for the nursing care of patients and for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal outcomes, including supervision of all categories of nursing personnel. Functions as a sitter for safety and observation of patients when needed.

Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements:

• Current California RN License required. Current BLS (CPR) certificate required.
• Current A.C.L.S. certificate preferred. (Revised 11/29/07) One year prior OR experience preferred.
• C.N.O.R. preferred.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.
