Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services in North Carolina seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) to oversee nursing staff and direct patient care during shifts. The role includes assisting the Director of Nursing with coordinating Nursing Services and ensuring compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate is a licensed RN in North Carolina, CPR certified annually, and experienced in geriatric care with a willingness to participate in on-call duties and ongoing staff

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing; NC license required with renewal proof every 2 years.
• Quality nursing care focusing on geriatric patients.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Follow all facility policies, procedures and state/federal regulations.
• Long term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the facility nursing staff and directs care during shifts.
• Assists Director of Nursing in coordinating Nursing Services.
• Ensures nursing services comply with laws and policies.
• Supports nurses with patients during acute episodes.
• Addresses employee issues promptly and documents actions.
• Assumes on-call responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Assures the best patient care possible by supervising the Facility and by directing the nursing staff during the shift.
• Assists Director of Nursing in directing, coordinating and supervising the Nursing Services Department.
• Supervises Nursing services for Facility during shift in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, Facility policies and procedures, and the local, state, and federal regulations.
• Supervises and assists Nurses with patients during acute episodes.
• Deals with employee problems on a timely basis and documents actions.
• Assumes on-call responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of license renewal every other year.
• Provide quality-nursing care to patients, follow doctor orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff assuring that work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
• Read, know, and follow personnel, department and Facility policies and procedures and adhere to local, state, and federal requirements.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
