Job summary

Genesiscareers is hiring a Weekend RN Supervisor for a 7A–7P shift in Gardendale, AL. You will lead the clinical operations of the nursing units on the assigned shift, ensure compliance with policies and standards, and mentor staff while coordinating with other departments to deliver safe care.

You’ll participate in staff recruitment and orientation, support promotions and transfers, and help maintain adequate staffing for 24/7 nursing coverage with minimal overtime.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in Alabama.
• BSN preferred.
• Ability to lead nursing units and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shift including ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, practice standards and regulations.
• Facilitate the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff, along with coordination and communication with other departments.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff to provide safe, 24/7 nursing care with an emphasis on limiting use of overtime and agency personnel.
• Participate in staff recruitment, new hire orientation and make recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and terminations.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing
