Job summary

City of Hope seeks an RN Supervisor to lead the Outpatient Infusion team at the Phoenix site. You will oversee infusion staff, ensure efficient patient flow, and collaborate with leadership to maintain high-quality oncology care.

The role requires BSN, Arizona RN license, 3 years oncology infusion experience, and BLS/ons credentials. You will drive staffing schedules, support staff growth, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The RN, Supervisor will lead the Medical Assistants, Admixture Infusion team’s and others as needed in the effort of providing clinical services at the Outpatient Care Centers. The Supervisor will plan, lead, and coordinate activities and staff to attain highest quality and safety standards while maintaining effective operational and staffing controls. The Supervisor will work collaboratively and alongside other clinical and administrative leaders to consult on clinical practice, equipment needs, nurse recruitment and training, and clinical care concerns. The Supervisor has oversight of Outpatient Care Center Infusion Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants and other assigned support employees, safety and patient care processes, as well as flow, and promoting quality care for oncology patients during their treatment.

The successful candidate:

• Ensures efficient patient flow, providing a positive and compassionate experience for patients, caregivers/families, and other Stakeholders.
• Uses evidence based clinical knowledge to ascertain appropriateness of patient for evaluation and treatment.
• Oversees the sites Quality Program in collaboration with the Director.
• In collaboration with the Director, develops and executes departmental goals such that they support the organizational mission and strategic plan.
• Assists with and coach's team on the execution of departmental processes, goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Utilizes sound fiscal thinking to maintain financially sound operations on a daily basis.
• Seeks opportunities for organization and workflow process improvement by consistently applying lean thinking to departmental operations to enhance and improve services.
• Develops, tracks and improves upon department quality metrics.
• Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of department procedures, policies, and processes.
• Facilitates development for both new and current direct reports in their roles by supporting ongoing employee growth.
• Uses critical thinking skills to make independent judgements.
• Performs other clinical duties as directed by leadership.
• Collaborates with Lead RN to construct daily staffing schedules to ensure team is adequately staffed to provide patient care services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Registered Nurse (Arizona)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire or before completion of nursing orientation
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Biotherapy Administration Provider card
