Job summary

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Nurse Supervisor (RN) for the 7:00am–7:30pm day shift. You will report to the Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager, supervising nursing staff and ensuring quality care to psychiatric patients and residents.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of nursing supervisor experience minimum.
• SC license as Registered Nurse in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• CPI Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of ANA nursing standards and Federal and State guidelines and regulatory agencies.
• Must have the ability to work independently.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Accuracy in work performance and valuing of documentation are mandatory characteristics.
• Must possess excellent supervisory and organization skills.
• Must possess planning, organization, implementation and assessment skills.
• Must have the ability to motivate, evaluate and train employee.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing service staff and oversee clinical areas during after-hours.
• Control FTEs and arrange staffing for nursing units according to staffing grids, census, and patient acuity.
• Communicate with physicians, Administrator-On-Call (AOC), and DON about issues.
• Coordinate with admissions regarding after-hours admissions and discharges.
• Oversee all codes and ensure proper documentation.

Responsibilities

House Supervisor (RN) 7a-7p full-time

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital, located near beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC, treats adolescents, adults and senior adults in need of psychiatric services, as well as adults who suffer from a chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or are in need of rehabilitation. Lighthouse offers 24-hour admissions, needs assessment, and referral services.

LBHH is seeking dynamic Nurse Supervisors (RN) for day shift 7:00am - 7:30pm. As Nurse Supervisor you are directly responsible to the Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager for quality care to psychiatric patients, residents, family members and all customer groups. Exercises independent judgment supervising the staff involved in providing nursing care and in the oversight of clinical areas during after- hours. Works closely with all members of the treatment team and keeps both the physicians, Administrator-On-Call (AOC) and DON informed of issues that arise. Controls FTEs and arranges staffing for nursing units in accordance with staffing grids, census and patient acuity. Responsible for supervising all nursing service staff and using discretion, handles patient complaints. Works closely with admissions regarding patients being admitted after hours and those being discharged. Oversees all codes and ensures proper documentation.

Qualifications

2-3 years of nursing supervisor experience at minimum

Management/ leadership experience preferred.

Current license in good standing in the State of South Carolina as a Registered Nurse.

Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.

CPI Certification preferred
