Montana State University is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for University Student Health Services. The role provides direct patient care, triage, immunizations, and education within a university health setting, reporting to the Nurse Manager in the SHS.

The position requires Montana RN licensure, a BSN, BLS, and recent primary care experience. It is a classified hourly appointment supporting Student Wellness in a comprehensive health program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Montana.
• Recent nursing experience in primary care or student health settings.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment such as EKG and spirometry.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide a variety of treatments and procedures (injections, wound care, EKGs, and fittings) per protocol.
• Deliver preventive health services including immunizations and travel health counseling.
• Discharge planning and patient education.
• Support SHS committee assignments and clinical duties.
• Schedule follow-ups, chart in EHR, and communicate results to patients.
• Follow RN-led triage protocols for uncomplicated UTI treatment.
