Job summary

Henry Ford Warren is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3C Stepdown unit. The role is part-time, 24 hours, on the midnight shift, with a sign-on bonus eligibility for part-time nights. The schedule is two 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays.

The unit cares for high acuity cardiac, respiratory, neuro, gastro, nephrology, and vascular patients. Licensure in Michigan and BCLS certification are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Responsibilities

• Care for high acuity patients on a 16-bed Step-Down Unit with telemetry.
• Manage telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, insulin and vasopressors.
• Collaborate with 24/7 providers in a fast-paced environment.

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participants in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Our 16- bed Step-Down Unit cares for high acuity patients with cardiac, respiratory, neuro, gastro, nephrology, and vascular conditions. Nurses manage telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, insulin and vasopressors, and patients on BiPAP or high-flow oxygen, typically with a 3-4 patient assignment.
