  • Demonstrated competence in critical thinking in an outpatient setting.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts.

To qualify for this position, applicants must demonstrate ALL of the following KSAs:

  • Demonstrated experience with independently implementing the nursing process (assess, plan, implement and evaluate) to meet patient needs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare staff to include unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) ad making assignments.
  • Demonstrated experience using interview techniques that assist the patient/client in describing his/her symptoms and assist in discerning the situation and communicating information to patients, families and or staff.

Management Preference: These skills are not required but managers may choose to interview/select applicants who demonstrate Management Preferences.

  • Nursing experience in adolescent, pediatric, school or public health nursing.

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.

Necessary Special Qualifications:

Selected applicant must attend and successfully complete and pass the Juvenile Justice Officer Basic Training certification program. The certification requires four weeks to complete and is comprised of classroom and physically demanding training. This training is carried out at regional training centers and requires consecutive overnight stays. In addition the selected candidate must:

  • Have or be able to obtain required documentation for certification as a Juvenile Justice Officer (i.e. a diploma).
  • Pass a Criminal Background check
  • Pass a Drug Screening test
  • Pass a Psychological test
  • Pass a Sexual Risk Screening test
  • Pass a Physical
  • Be a US citizen
  • Be at least 20 years of age
  • Have a valid driver's license
