Registered Nurse Stat RN Part Time Nights

Job Summary

Position: Part-time: 0.6 FTE (24 hours/week)

Shift: Night shift, 5 PM - 5 AM

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include coordinating high-quality care, responding to emergencies, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Essential Functions include:

  • Providing patient-centered care per policies and protocols
  • Conducting assessments and documenting findings
  • Administering medications and monitoring effects
  • Assisting physicians during procedures
  • Responding to medical emergencies and participating in life-saving interventions
  • Educating patients and families about care and post-discharge instructions
  • Monitoring medical equipment and maintaining safety standards
  • Participating in audits, reviews, and quality improvement initiatives

Specialized Roles:

  • Critical Care RN: Managing complex medical equipment, administering IV medications, performing advanced procedures.
  • Emergency Services RN: Rapid assessment, triage, emergency procedures.
  • OR Services RN: Pre, intra, and post-operative care, assisting surgical teams.
  • Cardiac Surgery RN: Monitoring vital signs, managing life support equipment post-surgery.
  • Endoscopy RN: Preparing patients, assisting during procedures, post-care.
  • Obstetrics RN: Prenatal care, labor and delivery support, postpartum and neonatal care.
  • Oncology RN: Chemotherapy administration, side effect management, emotional support.
  • Orthopedics RN: Care for musculoskeletal patients, pain management, patient education.
  • PACU RN: Post-anesthesia recovery, pain management, monitoring for complications.
  • NICU RN: Critical neonatal care, ventilator management, feeding support.
  • Telemetry RN: Cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia analysis, emergency response.
  • Dialysis RN: Operating dialysis machines, patient education, monitoring.
  • Cath Lab RN: Assisting during catheterization, patient preparation and recovery.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong nursing knowledge, assessment skills, medication administration, effective communication, organizational skills, safety standards knowledge.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • RN license (state licensure or compact)
  • BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred
