Job summary

Avera Gettyburg is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in Adult Specialty units including Nephrology, Transplant, Neurology, Extended Care and Cardiovascular. You will develop patient care plans, educate patients and families, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements include an SD RN license, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, 1–3 years of clinical experience, and a rotating day/evening/night schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (SD).
• Ability to develop, implement and revise nursing care plans.
• Strong communication with patients, families and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care for Adult Specialty units: Nephrology, Transplant, Neurology, Extended Care, and Cardiovascular.
• Assess patient conditions, establish care objectives, and document care plans.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and support staff to ensure high quality outcomes.
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders and protocols.
