Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, seeks an inpatient Registered Nurse for the South Wing 6 Adult Surgical Unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. The role supports orthopedic, trauma, urology, and related surgical services in a high-acuity environment.

Per diem, day shift (7a-730p) with minimum 4 shifts per 6 weeks and at least 2 weekend shifts; 1 major and 1 minor holiday annually. Licensure in MA and ADN required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 10 months of inpatient nursing experience required

Responsibilities

• Join Baystate Health’s South Wing 6 Adult Surgical Unit as an inpatient RN.
• Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced surgical unit with high acuity.
• Coordinate with orthopedic, trauma, urology, and other surgical services as part of the team.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

• South Wing 6 contains 32 beds, 2 rooms have been converted to double rooms to assist with decompression of the ER
• Populations served- orthopedic, trauma, urology, musculoskeletal spinal surgery, endocrine, bariatric surgery, colorectal and thoracic patients
• South Wing 6 is a fast-paced surgical unit with high acuity and great opportunity for learning and developing your critical thinking skills.

SCHEDULE:

• Per diem, day shift (7a-730p)
• Minimum of 4 shifts per 6 weeks
• Minimum of 2 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
• 1 major holiday, 1 minor holiday annually
• Location: Baystate Medical Center Springfield

PAY:

• Experienced RN (1+ years of RN Licensure) $43.16-$65.00
