Job summary

Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. You will coordinate care with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team, delivering care across preventive, maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment phases.

The role may involve serving as charge nurse and delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel while ensuring safe, high-quality care in a Christian environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA.
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license where practice occurs and/or multistate licensure if in an NLC state.
• Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care, resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
• Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed/unlicensed personnel as appropriate.
