Job summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support student health across district schools as a Float RN. This full-time contract offers 37.5 hours per week across multiple sites, delivering direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff while maintaining patient safety.

Ideal candidates hold an active Massachusetts RN license, CPR and First Aid, and are comfortable traveling between campuses.

Qualifications

This full-time contract opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week for the entire academic year, providing vital nursing support across multiple school sites within the district. As a Float RN, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the safety and well-being of students and staff, adapting to various school environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Qualifications & Experience

• Active RN license in Massachusetts
• Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or similar setting preferred
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong assessment, triage, and crisis intervention abilities
• Flexibility to travel between schools as needed
• Up-to-date certifications in CPR and First Aid
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing needs

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff
• Monitor student health plans, medications, and chronic condition management
• Respond to emergencies, administer treatments, and communicate with families
• Liaise with educators, counselors, and parents to ensure a safe, healthy school environment
• Conduct screenings, immunization record reviews, and health education initiatives
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with school policies
• Serve as a health resource and advocate within the school community
