Jefferson Regional Main Hospital in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Same Day Surgery unit. This full-time, non-management role offers variable shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays, with weekend/holiday coverage required.

Under the Nurse Leader, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, coordinate with physicians and the care team, respond to changes in patient conditions, and supervise staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school program required.
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Safety Sensitive Position.
• Basic nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation skills.
• Adequate verbal and written communication with patients, families, and teams.
• Capacity to collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Basic documentation competency.

• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Nursing Departments. Refer back to posting on location.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care for an assigned caseload of patients. This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring responsibility for the appropriate utilization of resources, collaborating with medical staff and others in the provision of care, and demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolution. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the hospital setting. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Registered Nurse Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school program required.
• Technical in Nursing required. Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
