Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Same-Day Surgery Center. The role offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and 36 hours per week across 8-hour day shifts.

Rotating shifts in Pre-op and Phase II recovery, with Monday–Friday schedules and no weekends or holidays. ADN required; BSN preferred; BLS and active RN license in Virginia or compact state are required.

Qualifications

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• 24 months of experience as an Acute Care RN - ED or ICU experience preferred

• Care for patients in the Pre-op and Phase II recovery areas.

• Pursue leadership or advanced care opportunities within the hospital system

Requirements

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• 24 months of experience as an Acute Care RN - ED or ICU experience preferred.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
