Job summary

Emerson Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Wound Care for a per diem day shift role. The position runs 8:00am–4:30pm, with responsibilities spanning wound management, assessment and collaborative patient care under physician supervision.

Ideal candidates will be a BSN-preferred graduate with MA RN licensure, BLS certification, and prior wound care experience. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and confidentiality are essential to patient care in this setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
• Current licensure as a professional nurse in Massachusetts required.
• BLS for healthcare provider required.
• Certification as WOCN, CWCN or CWS strongly preferred.
• Wound care experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care and management under the supervision of physicians.
• Perform diagnostic evaluation and care of patients receiving wound care and hyperbaric treatment when indicated.

About this role

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Director of the Wound Care Center and in direct collaboration with and medical supervision of physicians, performs treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with problematic wounds who are receiving comprehensive wound care and or hyperbaric oxygen treatment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
• BSN preferred.

Experience

• Previous experience in wound care strongly preferred.

Licensure and/or Certification

• Current licensure as a professional nurse in Massachusetts required.
• BLS healthcare provider required.
• Certification as WOCN, CWCN or CWS strongly preferred.
