Job summary

Doctors Medical Center of Modesto, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse (RN) for the Enterostomy Department. The role reports to the Nursing Director and focuses on planning, directing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality, individualized patient care in a per diem schedule.

Minimum education is a Bachelor's in Nursing with Wound/Ostomy experience in an acute hospital.

Qualifications

• Wound and Ostomy experience within the past 6 months in an acute hospital.
• BLS; Certification in Wound Care and Management or Ostomy Care and Management from a nationally recognized program upon hire. Must acquire both certifications within 6 months of being hired. CETN/CWOCN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and provide high-quality, individualized patient care using the nursing process.

Reporting to the Nursing Director, the Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process and the benchmark standards of the National Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Association.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Bachelors Degree in Nursing Preferred

Minimum Experience/Skills:

Wound and Ostomy Experience within past 6 months in an acute hospital

License/Certificates/Credentials:

BLS. Certification in Wound Care and Management or Certification in Ostomy Care and Management from a nationally recognized program upon hire. Must acquire both certifications within 6 months of being hired/transferred into the position CETN/CWOCN preferred
