Job Description

Location: Lancaster, PA

Hours: Part-Time, Day Shift (0.6 FTE, 24 hours/week). Includes weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements per department guidelines.

Position Summary: As a Clinical Nurse 2, you will practice as a full partner on the healthcare team, demonstrating safe practice within the professional model. You will provide patient care applying the nursing process, with accountability for your patients' care, ranging from infancy to elderly.

The role emphasizes competencies in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, leadership, person and family-centered care, professionalism, safety, informatics, and teamwork. You will collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care and focus on individualized, age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care, seeking feedback and contributing to organizational goals.

Essential Functions
  • Incorporate the mission, vision, and values into patient care planning.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, evaluate progress, and adapt care plans accordingly.
  • Analyze data to identify diagnoses or issues and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Implement care knowledgeably, coordinate across disciplines, and provide leadership by communicating standards and encouraging team contributions.
  • Educate patients on health practices and treatments.
  • Utilize technology to enhance nursing practices and consider safety, effectiveness, and cost in service delivery.
Secondary Functions
  • Manage rapidly changing situations following protocols, coordinating with team members.
  • Participate in process improvement activities, seek continuous learning, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate peers and subordinates.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities and perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • RN licensure by the PA Board of Nursing.
  • BSN or higher degree required.
  • Completion of Nurse Residency or >15 months practice.
  • CPR certification (AHA Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire.
  • In good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal/state insurance programs.
