Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU at Wilkes Medical Center in North Wilkesboro, NC. Night shift 7pm–7am, full-time (36 hours/week).

Requires at least 1 year of RN experience and ACLS within 1 year; BLS certification; valid RN license in state of practice. In this role you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care, using evidence-based practice and strong communication to ensure safety and exceptional patient experience across the care

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an active license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience; critical care experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 12 months of hire for Adult Critical Care.
• Completion of an accredited program in nursing is required.

At Wilkes Medical Center, our 8 bed ICU provides intensive, specialized care for critically ill patients who need constant monitoring and support for life-threatening conditions.It is staffed by highly skilled medical professionals and equipped with specialized technology like ventilators, cardiac monitors, and IV lines to support vital functions.Our goal is to not only provide quality, life-saving care but also support to the patients and families during their challenging time. Our low nurse to patient ratio and out of staffing charge nurse ensures quality care and exceptional customer service.

We’re Looking For:

• Required: At least 1 year of RN experience
• One year of critical care nursing strongly preferred.
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
