Responsibilities
- As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient health problems, administering nursing care to patients, maintaining vital medical records, advising patients on health maintenance, and providing guidance about preventative services, such as health screenings and medications.
- Overseeing entire operations of healthcare units, including resident rooms, common areas and dining areas, while overseeing the nursing care of patients in her/his care.
- Assigning duties, delegating responsibilities, and coordinating patient care according to the abilities of nursing department staff.
- Assume responsibilities for execution of the doctor's orders.
- Administration of medications as prescribed by physician and performing treatments as prescribed and necessary.
- Accurately reporting patient symptoms, reactions and progress, and being responsible for recording of medications, treatments and observations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate knowledge and competence in her/his area of practice by vigilant patient observation and assessment.
- Development and implementation of nursing care plans and therapeutic interpersonal relationships with patients and their families.
- Demonstrate the ability to supervise and teach other personnel and maintain up-to-date knowledge.
- Qualifications should include graduation from a state accredited school of nursing, current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of New Hampshire and progressive experience in the nursing field.
