Job summary

Georgia Hospice Care seeks Weeknight On-Call Registered Nurses to evaluate patients, craft care plans, and coordinate with families and the care team. You will be the lead in ensuring quality care during on-call hours, working with our 24/7 triage department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 80–100 lbs and move as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and create care plans.
• Communicate with patient, family and care team.
• Drive coordination of care to ensure quality outcomes.
• Provide on-call coverage from 5 pm–8 am (Mon–Thu) and 8 am Fri until next shift.

Overview

Become a Weeknight On-Call RN with Georgia Hospice Care

Do you value the time you spend with your patients? Is it important to you that your patients and their families know and feel that you are with them? We are looking for registered nurses who are committed to creating meaningful patient experiences.

As a registered nurse at Georgia Hospice Care, you’ll evaluate patients and create care plans, all while communicating with everyone involved — the patient, the patient’s family, and the care team. You’ll serve as the driver of our care team to ensure every patient receives quality care. Weeknight On Call RNs are salaried full-time to cover on-call hours of 5 pm - 8 am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and ending on Friday at 8 am, working alongside our 24/7 365 RN staffed triage department. If and when called upon you will see patients during your working hours.

Qualifications

A heart to serve patients and families and a passion for providing the best possible care

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license as a registered nurse
• Experience: 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical care setting (hospice experience preferred)
• Required: Reliable transportation. Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently and lift at least 80-100 lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively
