Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA is seeking an RN Unit Supervisor for the EmPATH Psychiatric Observation Unit on the night shift. This full-time role features a 3 x 12-hour schedule (7:00 pm to 7:30 am) and provides an opportunity to lead a dedicated team delivering high-quality psychiatric care.

The successful candidate will supervise staffing, ensure patient safety, and support unit governance while upholding Inova's commitment to patient experience and team development.

Qualifications

• BLS certification and completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire.
• Virginia RN licensure required.
• 1 year of RN experience required.
• BSN preferred or ADN with BSN in progress within 1 year of hiring.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. Embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision making structures and processes. Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility. Minimum Qualifications

• Certification - Basic Life Support; Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire
• Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Education - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN)

Preferred Qualifications

• Former psychiatric experience strongly preferred
