Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the IMCU at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. This full-time role involves clinical leadership, improving safety and workflow, and staff development in a 16-bed IMU.

Requires 18 months nursing experience and a BSN; Master’s degree preferred if the graduate degree isn’t in nursing. BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire; certification is preferred.

Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator at Norfolk General Hospitals Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), in Norfolk, Virginia.

Shift: Full Time, Weekend Nights (Fri/Sat/Sun OR Sat/Sun/Mon)

Unit Overview

7N is a 16-bed IMC mixed unit. We provide highly skilled care to a variety of patients!

Role Overview

Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty.

BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
