Registered Nurse (RN) Trauma Neuro ICU (Full Time/Night Shift)

Join Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Trauma Neuro ICU (Full Time/Night Shift).

Location: Lancaster, PA

Hours: Full Time (36 hours/week), Night Shift (7pm-7am), every third weekend, rotating holidays.

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 (external applicants, 2-year commitment, 18+ months RN experience)

The 16-bed Trauma Neuro ICU cares for patients with trauma and neurological injuries, including strokes, brain bleeds, tumors, seizures, and trauma from accidents or violence. Lancaster General Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center with a primary stroke center and thrombectomy capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing patient care following ANA standards
  • Performing assessments, developing and implementing care plans
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members
  • Educating patients and families
  • Participating in quality improvement activities
  • Supervising and mentoring team members
  • Ensuring safety and compliance with regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • RN Licensure from PA or temporary permit
  • BSN preferred; for Magnet positions, BSN or higher within 3 years of start date
  • Completion of Nurse Residency or >15 months practice
  • CPR certification (AHA BLS) within 30 days of hire
  • Good standing with Medicare/Medicaid
