Responsibilities
  • Provide safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Deliver direct patient care within the scope of practice.
  • Guide patient and family teaching, and oversee activities of other nursing staff while maintaining standards of care in the designated unit.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient condition changes, diagnostic results, and abnormal findings.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition and response to treatment.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Current valid State Registered Nurse License.
  • Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained current (preferred).
  • Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital; critical care experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
