Job summary

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking an experienced Intermediate Care (IMC) / Telemetry Registered Nurse to join a 48-bed IMC/Medical-Surgical unit. The role includes cross-training for telemetry and IMC patients, with mentorship from Charge RNs and opportunities for skill growth.

Applicants must have ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL from an accredited program and an active MD RN license or compact state RN with BLS. Competitive hourly pay and relocation support are offered.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and BLS required (AHA or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans.
• Coordinate interventions with other members of the nursing team and ensure continuity of care.

Unit Highlights

Join our 48-bed IMC/Medical-Surgical unit where nurses are cross-trained to care for both telemetry and IMC patients, including those requiring chronic ventilator management and cardiac drips. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced acute care RNs looking to build their skills and transition into higher-acuity nursing.

Our Charge RNs are out of the numbers, allowing them to provide hands-on support, mentorship, and clinical guidance throughout each shift. You'll work alongside a collaborative team with experienced leadership while enjoying flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

This position has a hiring range of
